Dirty Passion, Leaded Fuel and Towers of London

On the last cold night of January you could warm yourself up with a visit to Stengade 30 with yet again an eventful Rock the Night. This time it was an alternative kind of music than it normally is, but it still pulled in the normal crowd.
The first band on stage was Dirty Passion from Malmø. Unfortunately they played for a half empty room because the party was still happening in the lounge on the first floor. But them that did manage to catch their act received a well put together show with some good music. These were 4 well rehearsed musicians that put on a great show. If you were going to compare Dirty Passion with someone, it would have to be Europe that would come the closest. Especially the song "Angel" it was a ballad that spoke to the heart. Other songs like Rockin' in the Night, Liar and Love me Right was also a part of the set. All in all they were a cool Swedish band that played a first-rate show but still not coming up to the standard of bands such as; Crashdiet, Vains of Jenna and Gemini Five. With their song Angel they have the potential of a big future.

The next band was Leaded Fuel from Stockholm. By the time they went on stage the concert hall had filled up and that gave a much more exciting atmosphere. Leaded Fuel have the real Sleaze look, but the music style didn't compliment their look. It was much more punk metal. They gave a good show, but they were missing the tightness and a good flow in the band, it quite often became a little messy and "noisy". They have recently made changes within the band, so that could be the reason for the lack of discipline with the music. The song Dirty Bitch Boogie was played with confidence and the audience went wild.

Leaded Fuel is clearly a band that loves to be on stage and they fit very well with the nights headliners Towers of London. Towers of London filled the place out... Everyone from punk rockers to rock chicks met up and the band blew everyone away with their punk rock. Even though the singer/frontman was on crutches for some of the show...they gave it everything they had all the way through. When they played their song I'm a Rat from the album Blood Sweat & Towers the place was packed and rocking. I am personally not a big fan of punk but I could definitely see that I may have stood alone that night. I'm sure it won't be the last time Towers of London visit Denmark after the wicked response they received by the fans. But on a personal note I hope that it won't be with Rock the Night, since I prefer real sleaze bands like the previous RTN with Pretty Wild - Gemini Five and Vains of Jenna
